The Cookie Crumbles: Google Chrome ending 3rd party cookies.

The digital advertising landscape is set for a significant change with Google Chrome phasing out third-party cookies. Apple released IOS 14 a few years back and cut off much of the 3rd party cookies. This update will have a similar effect. These cookies have traditionally been used to track user behavior across websites, allowing advertisers to target audiences with personalized campaigns. Their removal will necessitate alternative strategies for businesses to effectively reach their target customers.

Email marketing has a new gate keeper: Google is implementing new email certificates.

Email marketing and sales are critical to many businesses. But we all know spam and solicitation is getting worse all the time. With AI it has become way more advanced than an African Prince needing help. So Google has responded.

Google’s flagship Gmail product is now looking for a Google certificate to ensure authentication. Microsoft has responded in kind. But why does it matter? Well if you are using an email service like Klaviyo, MailChimp, or a higher level sender like Twillio, you will need to implement this certificate to keep your emails out of the spam bin.

As I am sure you already know, AI content has taken over the internet. And it is getting better every day.

We all know this fake content is out there. So what does that mean for us doing real work? It means we need to prove our authenticity. Customers are looking for proof. People might find you on social media or by search, but now they will check your links to make sure you are real.
